Christine Almeda is a Filipino-American freelance illustrator and character designer from New Jersey. She grew up reading cozy library books and filling countless sketchbooks with drawings. She graduated from Montclair State University with a BFA in Animation & Illustration.
Almeda has worked on more than 20 books for kids and currently works on picture books, including Lolo's Sari-Sari Store and Box of Dreams. She especially loves stories about community, creativity, and family. Almeda is now creating art in Houston.
